Well, my goodness, I got the most special wedding invitation in the mail this morning. Nathan and Randi!! It is so unusual and what a beautiful picture of them!! God bless them both.

Just another braggin' Mom

I tried to hold it in, but you can't slap the smile off of my face. Rachel and Nathan both make me so happy and so proud.
In September, Rachel and Matt will be presenting us all with another member of the family and Owen will be a big brother. So far so good, though Rachel is remembering , "It ain't easy being queasy."
Then Nathan phoned last night to tell me that he has been accepted into the Master's program at the University of Chicago. I'm looking at it as a wonderful opportunity to travel. And the Texas Eagle goes right into downtown Chicago. Love those trains! He and Randi are discussing the situation and nothing is settled yet...but still!!
So happy...so proud...had to share.

HURRAH FOR ''CURLING''

Okay, I am just having the best time watching the Olympics, especially Curling. Moma and I discovered it the first year it was on the Olympics and just became besotted (how's that for a word!) with it. Now, I find out that Nick is learning to play it in PE. Today I got out for the first time since my surgery - I got my hair frosted (hurrah for Shirley) and bought groceries at WM. Tomorrow is the day I get my stitches out (ouch!) and I may even go vote early. Do I have an exciting life or what!!!! And when I'm not watching the Olympics, I'm watching the Westminister Dog Show --- I LOVE dogs --- have any of you seen that commercial the Pedigree does about false teeth for dogs -- it is a hoot -- I had a $2 coupon off their product & had to get it for THE BUZZ. I'm out of ideas for the non-writers of the blog so some of you get on the ball -- we have to get Buster, Deborah, Vickie, Suzy (you haven't been on in ages), Wade and Martha. I'm sure I've forgotten someone but then, I'm old!! Love all you guys!!

Snow!!!!!

Well,Hi there everyone!!! How about this snow!!! It is so beautiful outside. Yesterday I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand and boy, did I pick the right time to be housebound for a while!! I've got THE BUZZ to protect me from all evil, lots of food,good books to read,my laptop,good tv and plenty of vicodin for pain - AND I GET TOTALK TO MY KIDS EVERYDAY!!!!! The Lord is looking after me!!! Ihope all of you get to stay home in this weather. If not, please be careful. Love to you all. Jody

Well, I'm excited!

I have a new job!!! I am going to begin working Monday at the Williston Community Library! I'll be secretary/book keeper/librarian. I am so excited. I love my friends at Penney's and all, but that isn't 'me' and I think this is. Woohoo!
