Old pics

I found some old pictures with mother and Marguerite, and got some old pictures from Jody from The Yearling with old pictures of mother and my aunt Opal, daddy's youngest sister. Those pictures are from 1932. Not sure about the ones of Mother and Marguerite, or the one of Marguerite by herself. Anyway, I thought I would share them. My aunt Opal is next to mother in one or two pictures. She's not smiling. Anyway, thought y'all might like to see these.

Random thoughts

Hi, all! We had a great visit in Lubbock with Estelle and John last weekend. They're doing fine and are getting out and about. I had a couple of pictures to post, but for some reason my computer won't read my memory card from my camera. It always has before, so I don't know what the problem is. Hopefully I can get it resolved and then will post the pictures.
Hope this finds everyone well and happy. Candy, I want to hear about Alaska and what all y'all did up there. I'm still working on Rachel's baby blanket. Hopefully will finish it before the baby comes! Ha!
I hope we can make it back to Lubbock after it cools off some and maybe Vickie will join us! Hope springs eternal!!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Yes, admit it, Celeste, you are one of those people who spends way too much time on the computer, far too many hours perusing Facebook - tsk, tsk. Ok, enough of the self-recrimination. One thing I did pick up on Facebook was a lovely posting about our dads being our heroes. Well, yes!! My daddy has always been my hero and I know he always will be. I'm also very grateful for all the other dads - our wonderful Grandaddy, Uncle Dan, Uncle John, Vernon, Uncle George and all the other great men our family is blessed to have in our bunch. Couldn't let the opportunity pass, either to say that I'm glad to be married to a wonderful dad, also - thank you, Chuck! Happy Father's Day to all!!

Steve and my Mom just reported in from Juneau, Alaska. They are enjoying 45 degree weather and a day of shopping. They'll be back on their cruise ship in a few hours where they will then enjoy quiet, a nap, a book, a snack, and maybe the swimming pool. So if you're wondering if Steve is enjoying his day, I think you can safely assume he is! It's a hard life, isn't it?!
