Steve and my Mom just reported in from Juneau, Alaska. They are enjoying 45 degree weather and a day of shopping. They'll be back on their cruise ship in a few hours where they will then enjoy quiet, a nap, a book, a snack, and maybe the swimming pool. So if you're wondering if Steve is enjoying his day, I think you can safely assume he is! It's a hard life, isn't it?!

Fifty-nine years ago, Fay and Dan Cusenbary's baby girl, Estelle (aka Bula), boarded an east-bound train for Arlington, Virginia. Her soldier fiance, John, was stationed there and awaiting the arrival of his bride ("there's something about a man in uniform...").

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Seems like I just can't get the hang of making postings to this blog in a more timely manner, like in advance of my daughters' birthdays - ha!! If my cousins will pardon me again for taking advantage of this blog to wish Amanda a very happy day, I'd be most grateful.
