Hi! Great news!!! Just heard from Diane and Bula that John came through his hip re-replacement surgery fine. They had to be there at 4 am and as usual it was around 11am before they got to the surgery!! Love hospitals - hurry up - wait - hurry up- wait!! Diane said he a woke up enough to have scrambled eggs & biscuit for supper. They put donor bone, some more cement (non-eroding kind this time I assume) and 4 screws - so we can say that Uncle John's been screwed by the hospital!! Good thing he doesn't fly 'cause he'd have the scanner going off all over the place. The doctor said he wasn't to put weight on his hip & leg for 6 weeks so the therapist will be set up for that. Keep all of them in your prayers and thank God for getting him through the surgery. Love you guys!!!!

OH, excellent news! Thanks so much for sharing that. Of course, he's in my prayers as well as Bula and Diane.
thanks for the info, Jody! I'm glad to hear he did well. Now he gets to have a six-week pity party. woo-hoo!

Thanks for the update, JoAnn! Glad to hear that he is doing so well, but still awful he had to go through the surgery twice - yikes! Will be sending a card/calling them soon.
I hope he keeps doing well and has MUCH better luck with this one.
