I know I no longer live there, but I'm still keeping up with what's been going on. Apparently, the tobacco shop in town on 4th street is selling a form of pot to kids under 18. I think it's called K2 or something. Anyone have any idea how to stop that sort of thing? Not sure if it's legal or what, but there is a bunch of mad moms and dads on facebook wanting to close the place down.
Even though my kids don't live there, I don't want stuff like this going on in my hometown.
I am mainly sending this message to spread the word and help the cause.
Share with everyone, ok?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGARET KAY
Dear, dear Katie - I hope you have a great day Tuesday. I've sent a card but it will probably be late but I did send it!! We have such wonderful memories together, don't we!! All those Saturdays at Granny's playing in the garage in our hideout. Ah, all the foes we vanquished with our swords from the maple tree - really didn't know we would kill it! And the first cousins to walk the barrels!! We have left such a legacy for the younger bunch!!!! (Do you suppose they are believing all this?) Anyway, I love you so much and will always have such great memories of our youth!! The baseball games, the dress-up parties, and all the wonderful family parties in the back yard!!
What Danny told me-----
I forgot to tell everyone that I saw Danny and the girls in the store yesterday and they were on their way to DFW to pick up Brad and his wife. (I'm sorry I can't remember her name - that is so terrible but forgive me 'cause I'm older than dirt) Anyway, they will be here with Buster and the family visiting for a while. And keep those prayers coming in for them too.

Uncle John - day 3
Hi all!! Heard from Diane and Bula. This was the 3rd day and so he wasn't at his best - he got some blood because it was low and should feel better tomorrow. Was up all day - can you believe that! Anyway, the folks were going home to get some rest. Love to all, Jody

John
Hi! Great news!!! Just heard from Diane and Bula that John came through his hip re-replacement surgery fine. They had to be there at 4 am and as usual it was around 11am before they got to the surgery!! Love hospitals - hurry up - wait - hurry up- wait!! Diane said he a woke up enough to have scrambled eggs & biscuit for supper. They put donor bone, some more cement (non-eroding kind this time I assume) and 4 screws - so we can say that Uncle John's been screwed by the hospital!! Good thing he doesn't fly 'cause he'd have the scanner going off all over the place. The doctor said he wasn't to put weight on his hip & leg for 6 weeks so the therapist will be set up for that. Keep all of them in your prayers and thank God for getting him through the surgery. Love you guys!!!!

Happy Easter
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. Buster is working half a day today and I'm home cooking. Turkey, rice/broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, green beans and hot rolls. YUM. Then, I guess it's laundry for the rest of the day for me! The kids go across the street and play basketball some. It's gotten very nice here and not cold, just chilly. Madison jammed her finger yesterday and it's blue. She can move it so I don't think it's broken. Kids! LOL!
My job is going great and I am making some wonderful friends. We went out to a play ("Boeing Boeing") and dinner last weekend with a friend that Buster works with and his girlfriend. I think I could become pals with her easily.
Buster is busy and exhausted, but he's thrilled he's able to work. His hand hurts still and may always, but he's doing well.
Have a question for ya'll.....
Mom is going to move here to be with us hopefully this summer. She's got a buyer for her house and we are about to start the process of looking at homes here. Mom has no strength in her hands whatsoever and is weak. Can any of you come to Graham once in a while to help her pack and go through things? If it wasn't desperately needed, I wouldn't ask. Right now, it looks as though Buster will end up flying to Graham and then driving Mom here..but nothing is set as of yet. What she needs is help packing. She is going to sell a lot of things, but will also give items to family. Please, please, think about going and helping her out.
