Cathy was born the day after John and I got married. We called the folks from Virginia the next day and they were so excited about Cathy, they hardly had time to talk to us at that moment. A new grandbaby trumps a wedding any time.

Happy Birthday, Amanda Gail!!!

Today is Amanda's birthday and it is a day to celebrate how special and precious she is!  Always on the go, always busy and working hard at all of her endeavors maybe  because she spent many of her early days in this car seat - we were always on the go, too back then - taking Michael to school or Stephanie to therapy or school, running errands - this baby was happy tucked in the car seat, bless her heart!!   If she was asleep in that car seat when we got home, that's where she slept.  I've always had an aversion to waking up a sleeping baby - ha!  Today all these years later she is still so precious and wonderful to me - her name does mean "source of joy" and that she has always been.   We are making cake today but will probably just buy the ice cream, so it will be a standard Cusenbary/Parsons party - woohoo!!!  Happy Birthday, Amanda, my sweet girl!!

Martha just posted on facebook that her mother-in-law, Frances Thetford, passed away today.  Our prayers are with Ronnie, Martha and the boys in this sad time.
